The English Gentleman will be at the historic The Cabinet War Rooms – Sir Winston Churchill’s fascinating WWII underground command centre – on January 7th 2014 for the next London Collections: Men.
Numerous members of the Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) are teaming up with London’s finest hatters, bootmakers and shirtmakers to demonstrate the modern face of classic men’s tailoring and fashion.
Last June’s English Gentleman was held at Lord’s cricket ground (pictured) and proved a great success, being attended by over three-hundred members of the international menswear press and a huge array of buyers. This followed on from the inaugural The English Gentleman at Spencer House, which was one of the most popular presentations of the first London Collections: Men.
This season’s event has again been organised and devised by Anda Rowland of SRBA founding member Anderson & Sheppard and Jo Levin, the Creative Fashion Director of British GQ, who will again style the show. Anderson & Sheppard is working tirelessly on the production of the event and is generously co-sponsoring it.
February’s British GQ will be published to coincide with the show and will feature ten pages of images from The English Gentleman at Lord’s by Robert Fairer.
Woolmark will also be releasing a new ‘behind the scenes’ film of The English Gentleman at Lord’s at the same time.
Savile Row Bespoke Association members taking part include:
Anderson & Sheppard
Chittleborough & Morgan
Gieves & Hawkes
Henry Poole & Co.
H. Huntsman & Sons
Richard James Bespoke
The presentation is made possible by the generous support of The Woolmark Company and Chivas.
