Tickets for the 2015 Golden Shears Awards are now on sale.
The biennial awards will take place on the evening of Monday 16th March at the spiritual home of tailoring, the Merchant Taylors' Hall.
Tailoring students and apprentices from throughout the United Kingdom will compete for this year's honours. The submitted work will first be judged by a panel of Savile Row insiders and experts, which will award marks for technical skill, design, cutting and tailoring. The work will then feature in a catwalk show and be awarded further marks for aesthetic value by a VIP panel of industry aficionados. Previous VIP judges have included Joanna Lumley, Nick Hewer and David Furnish.
The awards will again by chaired by Simon Cundey of Savile Row Bespoke Association member Henry Poole & Co and will represent the perfect opportunity to witness the future of bespoke Savile Row tailoring.
Tickets cost £60 inc. VAT (to include a welcome drink and canapé reception) and are available from Miss Hayley Mann, Merchant Taylors’ Company, 30 Threadneedle Street, London EC2R 8JB. Email: hayleymann@merchant-taylors.co.uk Tel. 020 7450 4453
The principal sponsors of the evening are Chivas, CAPITB TRUST and the Savile Row Bespoke Association.
