We are delighted to announce that William Skinner has been appointed the new Chairman of the Savile Row Bespoke Association.

William is the Managing Director of 151-year old SRBA founding member and Savile Row stalwart Dege & Skinner and brings both a wealth of experience and an insightful vision of the future to the role.

Says William:  "Savile Row continues to be recognised and respected as the sartorial home of bespoke tailoring for men.

“It’s a single destination for stylish, well dressed men in a thriving, bustling capital city, where master cutters help their customers choose from the finest cloths, while coat makers, trouser makers and apprentices can be seen handcrafting exquisite garments in the multitude of workshops within our member's premises.

“More than two hundred years of tradition sits firmly at the foundation of our well respected bespoke tailoring trade on Savile Row, but like any trade in a highly competitive global market, as a collective group of bespoke makers we need to look forward, to respect our heritage, but also to innovate and to ensure that the skills necessary to make bespoke clothing befitting of the Savile Row name and its reputation for quality continue for another two centuries.

“By investing in apprentices, supporting the myriad of ancillary businesses so vital in the creation of fine bespoke tailoring - the cloth mills and cloth merchants, the hand-embroiderers and leather workers - we will continue to flourish, attracting the most talented makers of bespoke clothing and I am proud to be appointed as Chairman of Savile Row Bespoke Association."
