“On the 23rd May the Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) held a well attended AGM in Dege & Skinner’s showroom at 10 Savile Row.
“Amongst many issues covered, the Association reinforced its position to protect and promote the practices of bespoke tailoring on Savile Row.
“A major talking point was the situation with rents. Many members are going through a rent review and would like to see greater consideration shown for the bespoke tailors who have workshops on Savile Row.
“Another concern shared by many on the Row was the recent increase in business rates.
“On the positive side of things, all present were hugely encouraged by the success of the SRBA Diploma. Judging has recently been carried out and seven certificates will be awarded on 30th June at the Bespoke Tailors’ Benevolent Association summer party.”
