Some fine examples of artistry beside those of bespoke tailoring are currently on display on the Row with a number of Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) members participating in Art in Mayfair for the first time.
Art in Mayfair is a unique collaboration between Bond Street, East Mayfair and the Royal Academy of Arts that sees a wealth of artists collaborating with local businesses to create stunning window displays and installations to celebrate Mayfair’s rich art heritage. It was launched in 2018 in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition, the world’s largest open submission contemporary art show.
SRBA members and associate members taking part for the first time include Anderson & Sheppard, Cad & The Dandy, Dege & Skinner, Edward Sexton, Henry Poole & Co, Huntsman (pictured, fourth from top), Norton & Sons, Richard Anderson and Richard James.
Highlights include the Royal Academy artist Jonathan Schofield at Anderson & Sheppard (pictured, second from top), Cerith Wyn Evans at Norton & Sons (pictured, third from top), Charlotte Posner at Dege & Skinner (pictured, bottom), and Jake and Dinos Chapman’s astonishing painted suits at Richard James (pictured, top).
Installations and exhibits will be on display on Savile Row until 17th October.
